Basic Sciences Course

Course Description

This course offers a broad and interdisciplinary educational experience, meticulously crafted to enhance and enrich an understanding of vital scientific principles at the core of Dentistry. It covers a diverse spectrum of educational material, ranging from essential basics to more intricate and comprehensive study areas. The curriculum is strategically organized to incorporate a sequence of didactic lectures to foster a strong theoretical foundation. These lectures are deliberately structured to encompass the fundamental concepts and theories in Dentistry, providing students with a thorough and solid base of knowledge.

Goals and Objectives

  • A thorough understanding of fundamental sciences in dentistry, encompassing dental anatomy, embryology, oral microbiology, oral pathology, oral medicine, pharmacology in dentistry, radiology, digital dentistry, and dental biomaterials.
  • Proficiency in recognizing and comprehending the latest technological advancements in dentistry.
  • A robust command of research methods and statistics, empowering the resident to critically assess research papers and proficiently initiate research projects.
  •  A comprehensive understanding of managing medical emergencies in a dental office.
  • Compliance with and comprehension of medical laws and ethics in Kuwait.
